Data and Audit Model
This document describes the intended data and audit characteristics of Gantral.
Design Goals
The data model is designed to support:
- Execution traceability
- Decision attribution
- Replay analysis
- Operational inspection
It is not designed as a financial ledger or legal record system.
Execution Records
Execution records may include:
- Execution identifiers
- State transitions
- Timestamps
- Human decision metadata
- Policy references
The exact schema may evolve.
Audit Characteristics
Gantral is designed to support:
- Append-only recording
- Immutable historical views
- Context preservation
Audit records describe what occurred within Gantral’s execution model.
Replay
Replay functionality is intended to:
- Reconstruct execution sequences
- Support debugging and review
- Aid in audit preparation
Replay does not guarantee identical outcomes if external dependencies differ.
Limitations
Gantral does not:
- Certify audit sufficiency
- Replace external compliance systems
- Determine regulatory adequacy
Audit outputs must be evaluated in context.
