Data and Audit Model

This document describes the intended data and audit characteristics of Gantral.

Design Goals

The data model is designed to support:

  • Execution traceability
  • Decision attribution
  • Replay analysis
  • Operational inspection

It is not designed as a financial ledger or legal record system.

Execution Records

Execution records may include:

  • Execution identifiers
  • State transitions
  • Timestamps
  • Human decision metadata
  • Policy references

The exact schema may evolve.

Audit Characteristics

Gantral is designed to support:

  • Append-only recording
  • Immutable historical views
  • Context preservation

Audit records describe what occurred within Gantral’s execution model.

Replay

Replay functionality is intended to:

  • Reconstruct execution sequences
  • Support debugging and review
  • Aid in audit preparation

Replay does not guarantee identical outcomes if external dependencies differ.

Limitations

Gantral does not:

  • Certify audit sufficiency
  • Replace external compliance systems
  • Determine regulatory adequacy

Audit outputs must be evaluated in context.
